About Me

My passion for baking began as a very young child; I was so excited for my birthday to arrive every year, not because of the anticipation of toys I might receive or the tea parties my dear mum would organise – but because it meant that I would be able to spend time in the kitchen with my mum, helping her to make my delicious birthday cake. My Mum was not an expert baker, and my birthday cakes were simple vanilla sponges with jam in the middle.  But I was hooked and my love affair with “making and baking” was born

Years have gone by, I’ve raised a family, travelled the world, worked in events management and other fascinating roles and I’ve finally come full circle. I have finally turned my passions into a business, designing and creating unique intricate floral cupcakes, with love, for you and yours to enjoy.

About Me

“My passion for baking began as a very young child; I was so excited for my birthday to arrive every year, not because of the anticipation of toys I might receive or the tea parties my mum would organise – but because it meant that I would be able to spend time in the kitchen with my mum, helping her to make my delicious birthday cake.  

My Mum was not an expert baker, and my birthday cakes were simple vanilla sponges with jam in the middle.  I loved to help weigh out the ingredients with her, and my mum would allow me to have a go with her Moulinex mixer.  I would watch her carefully spoon the batter into the tins, waiting for her to hand me the big wooden spoon to lick – I loved that part!

I would patiently wait for that vanilla and buttery aroma to fill the kitchen, as I knew then that the sponges would soon be ready.

We would make a simple icing, just with water and icing sugar and I would choose the colour from the little bottles (all 3 of them) my Mum had stored in the cupboard.  My Mum would have already bought some fresh new ribbon and candles for the cake which would sit on the side in a little white paper bag, and I would be allowed to carefully place the candles onto the sponge – I loved that part too!

That passion for baking has stayed with me all of my life and one of the highlights for me was to make my own 3 tier wedding cake, which I was very proud of, and my Mum was too. Over the years I was always asked to make celebration cakes for family and friends, for weddings, christenings, birthdays and every celebration you can think of!

And so, I have finally turned my passion into a small business, baking cupcakes and treats, with love, for you and yours to enjoy.”
